When the monsoon rains first hit Pakistan, Islamic Relief provided tents and basic survival items to people affected by the disaster.
Once the floods receded, we began focusing on long-term solutions to the damage that had been left behind.
Since last August, Islamic Relief has built 270 permanent family homes across eight villages in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Punjab, in the northern areas of the country. Over the next year, Islamic Relief will be rebuilding over 1,600 more houses, for people whose homes were destroyed by the floods.
